Finance Administrator

Patvocates a Germany-based, patient-driven, not-only-for-profit consultancy, acting in the triangle of patient advocacy, health policy and medicines research and development.
Patvocates is a social enterprise that also donates a proportion of its revenue to capacity building and education initiatives of the patient community.

The Finance Administrator will have the following tasks and responsibilities. The roles and tasks may change based on future projects and activities of the Organization.

  • Part time 20hrs/week– potentially moving into a full-time position in the future.
  • Working language is English.
  • Home based in Spain or Germany (Munich area)

The Finance Administrator will have the following tasks and responsibilities:


  • Maintain financial activities, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Generate invoices as needed and ensure payment is completed.
  • Manage and process invoices and reimbursement forms.
  • Manage and maintain bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Support the finance team with contracts, budgets and HR matters.
  • Ensure that accounting requests are resolved and communicated in a timely manner to internal and external parties.
  • Liaise with the Patvocates team members as required.

Required experience and skills:

  • Minimum professional experience of 5 years in related area.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to reconcile accounts accurately and timely.
  • Very advanced English (C2), written and spoken.
  • High-level ability to use electronic office and online tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Email, Telegram).
  • Ability to be pro-active, flexible, self-driven and work independently from home office.
  • Experience of collaborative working in a virtual environment (with a team distributed across Europe).

Desired experience and skills:

  • University degree or equivalent in related area.
  • Knowledge/experience in working with European-founded projects.
  • Knowledge/experience in working either in the non-profit sector, in a health-related consultancy or in patient advocacy.
  • Knowledge of German is a plus.
